We will be offering Holy Supper remotely on Good Friday this year because we can’t gather in person at the moment.
The service happened live at 9:30am on Friday, 10 April.
You can still participate in the service by watching a video. The video is 21 minutes long and available in 3 sizes – large (358 MB), medium (214 MB), and small (53 MB).

If you would like to participate, you will need to prepare the elements at home. You will need red wine and unleavened bread. See the recipe below for how to make unleavened bread.
If you don’t have unleavened bread or wine, we hope that you will still watch the service to reflect on the significance of the Last Supper.
After the Holy Supper part of the service there we encourage you to watch the Reflective Music Service. It has readings about Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion interspersed with selections of classical music. This year we will be reading from the Gospel of Mark and listening to excerpts from Handel’s Messiah. Even people who aren’t big classical music fans have found this to be a really meaningful way to reflect on what the Lord went through for us. Recipe for Holy Supper Bread (serves about 2)
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (rounded) wheat flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp ice-cold water
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Mix 1/4 (rounded) cup wheat flour with 1/4 tsp salt.
- Add 2 tbsp olive oil and mix until oil is fully incorporated.
- Add 1 tbsp ice-cold water and work the dough until it all comes together. You want a dough that is sticky enough to hold together but dry enough not to stick to your hands.
- Flatten into a 4mm thick circle on a baking sheet. You can use two sheets of parchment paper and a rolling pin or even just a flat bottom pan.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes.
