This Sunday: Confess the Lord

Sunday 20 December - 9:30am

Back to News

Two Sundays ago we heard how Zacharias’s doubt had rendered him mute. This week the prophecy that he doubted is fulfilled in the birth of his son John. In the moment of that fulfilment Zacharias acknowledges the Lord, and his mouth is opened so that he can praise the Lord. It’s easy to resent the Lord a bit when He doesn’t answer our prayers the way we want. But it’s even easier to forget the Lord when our prayers are answered. What do you have in your life today that you once prayed for? And how can we be more like Zacharias by acknowledging and praising the Lord for those things we take for granted?
